Where registration happens — and where it doesn’t

Registration and the entire Tourism & Hospitality Skills Pass process take place on the official Skills Pass account application, at app.skillspass.org.mt — not here. This page only summarises, in plain language, what the official sector operational page says about the sequence you’ll move through, so you can prepare calmly. It is a preview, not a substitute for the official process, and Malta Skills Pass cannot register you, take payment, or issue any certificate on your behalf.

What the official sequence describes — verbatim, where it matters

The sector operational page walks candidates through registration as a numbered, step-by-step sequence. Two of those steps state costs explicitly, in terms specific enough to quote directly:

• “Step 2: Purchase the Pre-Departure Course (€245)” — this is the same mandatory course covered across the Malta Guide Network; the official page folds its purchase into this sequence rather than treating it as a separate, standalone process.
• “Step 4: Select Tourism and Hospitality Sector (€230)” — this is where you formally enter the sector-specific track this guide covers.

The official page describes additional steps in the sequence beyond these two — for the complete, current step-by-step list (including any steps not quoted here), the official operational page is the authoritative source. We’re quoting only the parts we can state with confidence, rather than paraphrasing steps we can’t verify in the same exact terms.

A wording conflict to notice before you pay

The current official fee table says the Video Conference Interview has no additional payment, because the Tourism and Hospitality Skills Pass fee is listed as €230 including the €5 booking fee. An earlier sentence on the same official page still says that after Phase 1 confirmation, the candidate is invited to book the Phase 2 interview and pay €250. Before you start

• Confirm whether the separate, mandatory Pre-Departure Course requirement applies to you — it generally does for first-time Single Permit applicants — so you’re not caught off guard by Step 2 of this sequence.
• Check the published list of excluded roles to confirm the Tourism & Hospitality track actually applies to your occupation before you pay for Step 4.
• Have your identity documents ready and current — official Skills Pass materials elsewhere describe expired documents as a cause of account suspension, and this guide has no reason to think that differs here.
• Set aside enough time and budget to move through the sequence without rushed decisions — especially around the cost steps named above.
