What this site is
Malta Skills Pass is an independent editorial guide written for people preparing for the Malta Skills Pass. It exists because the official materials — government circulars, agency FAQs, and embassy bulletins — are accurate but scattered. This site brings those sources together in one place, explains what each requirement means in practice, and flags when something is likely to change.
The site is part of the Malta Guide Network, a small set of independent editorial microsites covering Malta’s main permit, integration, and employment pathways. Each site is a standalone publication with its own editorial scope; they share infrastructure and editorial standards, not content.
Who writes this guide
This guide is written and maintained by an independent editorial team with a background in migration policy research and plain-language public-information writing. We are not immigration lawyers, not advisers authorised by the Government of Malta, and not affiliated with any government agency or employer association.
We do not offer personalised immigration advice. Every page on this site is general educational content. If your situation involves complex eligibility questions, deadlines, or official correspondence, consult a licensed Maltese immigration lawyer or an accredited adviser.
How this guide is researched
Every policy-sensitive claim on this site follows the same source hierarchy:
- Primary: official government sources. Legislation published in the Government Gazette, agency guidelines from Identità and Jobsplus, and official course provider materials take precedence over everything else. We link directly to these sources wherever possible.
- Secondary: official agency communications. Published FAQs, publicly issued circulars, and official press releases from responsible agencies are treated as authoritative but potentially superseded by more recent legislation.
- Tertiary: practitioner consensus. Where official materials are silent or ambiguous, we may draw on publicly documented practice — court decisions, ombudsman findings, or consistently reported community experience — and we label this clearly.
We do not treat blog posts, social media threads, or community forum answers as sources unless they link directly to a primary source that we can independently verify.
How pages are kept current
Every page on this site displays a “Last verified” date. That date records the last time a member of the editorial team checked the page content against the primary sources it depends on. It is not the date the page was published, and it is not updated automatically.
Malta’s integration requirements can change at short notice. We monitor official channels and aim to review high-traffic pages within two weeks of any publicly announced policy change. If you notice information that appears to be out of date, use the contact address below to let us know.
Correction policy
We correct factual errors as quickly as possible after they are identified. For corrections that change a material requirement — a date, a fee, an eligibility criterion — we update the affected section in place and append a dated correction note explaining what changed and why.
Minor edits (broken links, phrasing, typos) are made silently. The “Last verified” date is updated to reflect when the correction was applied.

How this site is funded
Malta Skills Pass is currently a free editorial publication. Live advertising is not active yet. If advertising is added later, it must follow the network’s ad-placement rules: ads must stay clearly separate from official links, must not resemble application buttons, and must not interfere with source lists, official-portal links, or the independent-guide notice.
No advertiser, sponsor, or official body has editorial influence over this site. Our research process, source standards, and correction policy apply equally to every page. Before any AdSense application or live ad code is added, the owner must provide the required publisher details, review the legal-policy pages, and configure the required consent path.
We may in future add affiliate links to clearly relevant services. If that happens, affected pages will carry a clear disclosure. No such affiliate links are currently active on this site.
What this site is not
Malta Skills Pass is not the Government of Malta, Identità, Jobsplus, or any official agency. It does not operate any portal. It does not accept applications, payments, documents, or login credentials. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any government body or official course provider.
