Tourism & Hospitality Skills Pass certificates — issuance and validity

The Skills Pass FAQ and Tourism & Hospitality certification page identify the Institute of Tourism Studies as the certificate issuer and describe digital certificates through Blockcerts. The certification page describes an emailed .json credential, optional import into the Blockcerts Wallet App and a downloadable PDF.

The general “Obtaining the Skills Pass” page instead describes certificates through Hyland. These official descriptions use different platform names; this guide reports both without declaring either obsolete.

Passing both Phase 1 and Phase 2 is described as resulting in two separate certificates: a Pre-Departure Course Certificate, and a Certificate of Full Skillspass achievement. If your application timeline depends on having a specific one of these in hand, plan around both being issued rather than assuming the process produces a single combined document.

The Skills Pass FAQ says the completed whole Pre-Departure and Skills Pass process has no expiry. Separately, the Tourism & Hospitality certification page gives general Blockcerts guidance: a time-limited credential may expire, and a credential may be revoked, for example if issued in error or following disciplinary action.
